FDA Approves Epilepsy Drug Made from Marijuana video



An advisory committee at the FDA unanimously approved an experimental drug made from marijuana to treat seizures associated with epilepsy.
The Peripheral and Central Nervous System Drugs Advisory Committee approved the medication 13-to-0, making Epidiolex the first plant-derived cannabidiol medicine for prescription use in the United States.
The drug is specifically tailored to treat two rare forms forms of epilepsy that afflict children.
