Begin in silence.
Music begins and runs throughout
under the narration.
Voice speaks with some irony.
Many people think CBD will get you high!
People know it comes from the
marijuana plant, so
They think CBD will get you high!
But, …. That’s the furthest thing
from the truth!
But, let’s not get ahead of
CBD is the name given to
It is one of hundreds of cannabinoids – chemical
compounds – found in Hemp.
Like other cannabinoids, CBD interacts with the human Endocannabinoid System (ECS).
The endocannabinoid system is made up of neurons, endocannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors.
The system is involved in a variety of physiological processes
They include appetite, pain- sensation, memory, mood, and more.
The Endocannabinoid System is a chain of cells with receptors that transmit signals.
Each cell leads to a space
between cells called a “synapse.”
The receptors labeled CB1 and CB2 are found in the synapse. and
When the receptors function correctly, there are no problems.
When the receptors are out of sorts or irritated, the body will react negatively.
The Human Body creates its own Endocannabinoids.
The Endocannabinoids help the ECS stay balanced and flowing.
Fortunately, Hemp produces cannabinoids
that fill in where the Endocannabinoids fail to perform.
Now, it is true that marijuana’s THC binds with these receptors to excite activity in the brain.
It makes you high, confused, and even paranoiac.
But CBD does not act that way.
CBD does not bind with receptors.
Instead, it appears to run interference
In doing so, it allows systems to work normally
Alleviating the sense of pain
Treating depression, and
CBD won’t get you high!
There is nothing in CBD to get
Hemp and marijuana look and
smell the same.
But hemp doesn’t have THC.
That’s why it’s legal everywhere.
Fact is, CBD is good for you!
Music continues and then fades.
